Youth "Connecting On the Land in Denendeh" (COLD) Forum

Applications are now open for the Youth "Connecting On the Land in Denendeh" (COLD) Forum!

When: February 9-16, 2025

Where: Camp Connections, Ingraham Trail, NT

Who: Indigenous youth ages 18-25 from the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon

The Youth COLD Forum is a week-long, land-based gathering designed to empower Indigenous youth from across the North. This is an incredible opportunity to connect deeply with peers and mentors, share experiences of how climate change has impacted mental health and wellbeing, and learn through unique storytelling workshops.

Youth will participate in workshops led by mentors in song, poetry, movement, art, beading, comedy, journalism, videography, photography, and more! Indigenous mental health and wellness workers will also be on site to provide support throughout the camp. Through their chosen storytelling methods, youth will present their stories at camp and bring them back to their communities to inspire and advocate for change.

We’re excited to build a digital and physical gallery to showcase the stories shared at camp. Don’t miss this chance to be part of an empowering journey on the land.
